Ok... so for this holidays... I've really just laze around. There's pretty much nothing much which I wanna do.... other than playing Football Manager....... being the manager for Sunderland A.F.C and Singapore National Football team.
Its my last few days before turning into an adult, no longer being a teenager, so i guess lazing around leading a carefree life eases the painful thought. Lol.
Anyways, Borussia Dortmund playing Shakhtar Donetsk tonight in the UEFA Champions League, with a 2-2 draw at Dombass Arena having the away goal advantage, I hope we can secure progression to the Quarter Finals. COME ON BVB!!!
The last weekend football matches saw BVB vs Hannover at the El Clasico taking place at the same time.... almost. BVB vs Hannover at 10.30pm in Singapore while Classico at 11pm. So I watched the BVB game for half an hour, where Lewandowski scored twice to give us a 2-0 lead, before switching over to watch the Clasico.
So, BVB won in the end, 3-1. With Julian Schieber and Abdellaoue adding on to the scores. In the Clasico, Real pretty much starting a changed team from the side that defeated them in the Copa Del Rey Semi-Final earlier in the week. But Barcelona made only 3 changes. Heres how the line up looks for the 2 games.
Copa Del Rey Semi-Final:
Real Madrid: Diego Lopez, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria.
Barcelona: Jose Pinto, Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Carlos Puyol, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Francesc Fabregas, Pedro Rodriguez, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi.
And in the La Liga game:
Real Madrid, Diego Lopez, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Fabio Coentrao, Kaka, Karim Benzima, Michael Essien, Luka Modric, Jose Maria Callejon, Alvaro Morata.
Barcelona: Victor Valdes, Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Thiago Alcantra, David Villa, Pedro Rodriguez, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi.
And Real Madrid still won !!!! 2-1. So they beat Barca twice in a week!!!!! The game got off to a good start for Real, where Benzema scored in the 6 minute. But then, Messi scored his 50th goal of the season at the 18th minute to equalise.... But then, Barcelona never looked like they were in control of the game despite having more possession. Cristiano came on in the 57th minute and terrorised Barcelona. He registered 6 shots on goal in that short time, compared to Barcelona's 5 for the whole game. The game was eventually won in the 82th minute by Sergio Ramos who powered a header past Valdes. There was controversy (or is there?) late on in the game when Adriano was felled in the box in injury time by Sergio Ramos, Real's stand-in captain (but looked more like a dive by Adriano to me, Barca are cheaters after all). So no penalty, Real went on to win 2-1, and Victor Valdes got himself red carded by the referee for shouting in his face. He was shown a yellow card but he continued shouting so he got a 2nd yellow card 2 seconds later HA.
Ok, football action later. Very exciting. Manchester United vs Real Madrid at Old Trafford, Manchester where Cristiano returns. Epic match up but I'm watching Dortmund.
